Kun Yang is a Professor in the Department of Physics at Florida State University (FSU). He received his Ph.D. in Condensed Matter Theory from Indiana University in 1994 and joined FSU's faculty in 1999 after postdoctoral positions at Princeton University and a Sherman Fairchild Senior Research Fellowship at Caltech.
His research focuses on strongly correlated electronic systems, including quantum Hall systems, unconventional superconductors, and disordered quantum magnets. This work falls under the broader discipline of condensed matter theory.
