Kumaradevan Punithakumar

Dr. Punithakumar is Associate Professor in Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging at the University of Alberta and Operational Director of the Servier Virtual Cardiac Centre. His research focuses on medical image analysis, particularly cardiac MRI and echocardiography, using computer vision and machine learning approaches.

He holds an Alberta Health Services Chair in Diagnostic Imaging and previously worked as an Imaging Research Scientist at GE Healthcare. His work has been recognized with NSERC's Industrial R&D Fellowship and IEEE Access Outstanding Editor Awards.
