Kristine M Ruppert

Kristine M Ruppert is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology at the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health. Her work focuses on pharmacoepidemiology, women's health (particularly menopause and bone health), and diabetes outcomes.

Her research spans both large-scale data repositories and smaller clinical databases, with expertise in analyzing clinical, pharmacoepidemiological, and psychosocial outcomes related to diabetes and women's health. Recent studies include investigations of medication effects on bone loss (e.g., insulin, metformin) and hormonal influences on fracture risk during the menopausal transition.
