Kristin Winston is an Associate Professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy at the Westbrook College of Health Professions, University of New England. With over 35 years of experience as an occupational therapist, her clinical focus centers on pediatrics, particularly children aged 0-5 and their families dealing with feeding/eating challenges and neurologic conditions such as cerebral palsy and stroke. She has served in academia for 20 years, teaching occupational analysis, theory, pediatrics, and leadership. Dr. Winston is actively involved in professional organizations including the Maine Occupational Therapy Association, American Occupational Therapy Association, and Society for the Study of Occupation.
She mentors Master of Science in Occupational Therapy students pursuing the Interprofessional Honors Distinction through UNE's Center to Advance Interprofessional Education and Practice (CAIPE). Her work emphasizes interprofessional collaboration and advancing occupational therapy practice through education and clinical expertise.
