About
Kristin Morgan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Connecticut's Storrs campus. Her research focuses on understanding the biomechanics of human movement, particularly how changes in joint motion and muscle function relate to lower extremity injuries such as anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries and patellofemoral pain. By applying advanced engineering and statistical techniques—including Nyquist and Bode stability analyses, time series modeling, and wavelets—she identifies and characterizes joint stability changes, using OpenSim to create computational models and subject-specific simulations of human movement.
