Kristin M. Janzen

Kristin M. Janzen serves as Clinical Associate Professor and Division Head within the Division of Pharmacy Practice at the University of Texas at Austin's Dell Medical School. She concurrently holds positions as Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Internal Medicine at Dell Seton Medical Center and Director of Pharmacology Content for the Department of Medical Education. Her academic journey began with graduation from the University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy, followed by a combined PGY1 & PGY2 Pharmacotherapy residency at Butler University and Indiana University Health.

Dr. Janzen's research program centers on residency preparation methodologies, interprofessional education frameworks, and core internal medicine disease state management. Her scholarly work demonstrates consistent focus on optimizing pharmacy education through innovative teaching models, mentorship structures, and clinical practice enhancements. The publication portfolio reveals strong emphasis on educational assessment techniques and practical clinical pharmacology applications within hospital settings.

Her extensive recognition includes multiple Citation for Outstanding Faculty awards (2021-2023), the College of Pharmacy Educator of the Year (2020), and regional Preceptor of the Year honors. As an educator, Dr. Janzen precepts fourth-year Pharm.D. students and residents during academic internal medicine rotations at Dell Seton Medical Center.
