Kristin Eide

Kristin Eide serves as Associate Professor of Pedagogy and Study Program Manager for Practical Pedagogical Education (PPU, FPPU-A, FPPU-Y, MPPU) at the Department of Teacher Education, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). She coordinates teacher education programs and teaches across multiple study tracks including practical-pedagogical education, associate professor education (5LU), and primary school teacher education (MGLU1-7 and MGLU5-10). She is a member of the national professional body for lecturer education 8-13.

Her research centers on educational policy and sociology within the 'Educational policy, diversity and equality' research group. Key interests include power dynamics in school structures, teacher-parent relationships, and educational inequality. Her work employs qualitative methodologies analyzing institutional changes in Norwegian education systems.

Publications reveal consistent focus on evolving power relations in schools since 2014, culminating in her 2021 doctoral dissertation examining experienced teachers' perspectives on shifting authority structures. Recent conference presentations (2022-2024) extend this to school principals' experiences with early intervention frameworks.
