Kristin Dobbin is an Assistant Professor of Cooperative Extension in the Department of Environmental Science, Policy, and Management at UC Berkeley. She holds a PhD in Ecology from UC Davis (2021) and a B.A. in Environmental Analysis from Pitzer College (2013). Her research employs mixed-methods approaches to address water justice policy and planning in California, focusing on socio-political drivers of drinking water disparities.
Research interests center on environmental justice, drinking water policy, natural resource management, and equity gaps in environmental policy implementation. Publications demonstrate strong focus on water system consolidation, groundwater sustainability, and environmental justice implications of water policies.
