She has supervised 4 PhD students, 23 master's students, and 12 postgraduate students throughout her career.
Her research interests span environmental toxicology, pollution assessment in aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems, biodiversity conservation under chemical stressors, and ecological risk evaluation methodologies. She has led research groups in experimental ecotoxicology and contributed to international environmental commissions.
Her publications demonstrate consistent focus on pollutant impacts across ecosystems, with recent work emphasizing chemical mixture toxicity, regulatory frameworks, and tropical ecotoxicology. Research trends show evolution from field monitoring studies to mechanistic toxicity modeling and standardized testing protocols.
Administratively, she serves as project leader for EPFL's Equal Opportunities Office and represents EPFL/ETHZ School Assemblies on the ETH Board.
