Kristian Sick Svendsen

Kristian Sick Svendsen serves as a PhD Fellow and Scientific Assistant at the Department of Communication, Faculty of Humanities, University of Copenhagen. His research examines internet infrastructure and digitalization with emphasis on mobile ecosystems and undersea cable networks.

Research Focus:

• Political economy of digital infrastructure ownership and control
• Methodological development for studying mobile datafication
• Power dynamics in software components and backbone infrastructure
• Regulatory challenges in third-party access to digital markets
