Kristian Anderson

Kristian Anderson is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Music, Film & Creative Enterprise at Saint Thomas University. His career spans performing arts, education, and composition. He is a founding member of the Tantalus Quartet and has performed internationally with renowned orchestras and festivals. Dr. Anderson specializes in diverse musical styles, including classical, blues, rock, and folk, and has contributed to over 400 theater productions.

He teaches courses in guitar performance and ensemble work, emphasizing improvisation and notation across genres. His students have excelled in national competitions and university programs. Awards include gold medals from major solo classical guitar competitions.

Anderson’s advising focuses on technical mastery and creative expression. He actively contributes to music education through published compositions and collaborations. His research interests blend traditional and contemporary music practices, with a passion for interdisciplinary performance.
