Kristi D. Osorio

Kristi D. Osorio is an Assistant Professor of Practice specializing in creative nonfiction. She holds an MFA from Columbia University and a BA from the University of Central Florida. Her award-winning work explores trauma, justice systems, and hybrid narrative forms.

Osorio's writing has appeared in New Delta Review, Blue Mesa Review, The Adroit Journal, and other literary venues. Her forthcoming book examines intersections of personal history, archival practice, and true crime discourse through innovative nonfiction forms.

Awards include:

• 2023 Indiana Review Creative Nonfiction Prize (judged by Camonghne Felix)
• 2023 Sonora Review 'Mercy' Contest in Nonfiction (judged by Maggie Nelson)
• Writing fellowships from Columbia, Wesleyan, and Kenyon Review

She previously taught at California State University, Monterey Bay, serving as Assessment Coordinator and Inclusive Teaching Ambassador.
