Kristen Livingston

Kristen Livingston is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication at Pittsburg State University. She joined Pittsburg State in Fall 2016 and has served as Assistant Director of Student Diversity, advising domestic minority groups. Prior, she was an Assistant Professor at Missouri Southern State University from 2009 to 2015.

• B.S. in Communication (Broadcasting emphasis), Pittsburg State University, 2007

Her research and teaching focus on gender communication, diversity in communication, and intercultural communication. She has also taught courses in advertising, media buying/selling, and mass communication.

Livingston presented on 'Gender Effects on Pet Loss and Social Media Narratives' at the University of South Florida. Her professional contributions include advising student clubs and serving as Broadcast Faculty at KGCS-TV Digital Channel 22.
