Dr. Krishanthi Vithana is an Associate Professor in Accounting at Southampton Business School, University of Southampton. She holds a PhD from Durham University Business School (2014), an MBA in Finance from the University of Colombo (Sri Lanka), and a BSc in Agribusiness Management from Sabaragamuwa University (Sri Lanka), where she earned a medal for academic excellence. She serves on the University Senate and Council. Her research focuses on Human Capital Accounting, Corporate Governance, and Environmental Social Governance (ESG), with industry collaborations including Aviva Investors and the Living Wage Foundation. She has led ESRC-funded projects on Real Living Wage accreditation and ESG integration in investment analysis.
