Krassi Paskaleva-Shapira is an Honorary Senior Research Fellow at the Manchester Institute of Innovation Research (MIoIR), Alliance Manchester Business School, The University of Manchester. Her research focuses on smart cities, sustainability, innovation governance, and urban transformation. She holds a PhD in Regional Systems Modelling from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and has held visiting positions at institutions like Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (Germany) and Victoria University of Wellington (New Zealand).
Education:

- BA/MA in Economic Geography (University of Sofia, Bulgaria)
Research Interests: Cross-disciplinary studies on digital society, smart city governance, open innovation, stakeholder engagement, and sustainable urban development. She has led EU-funded projects like Triangulum (Smart Cities initiative) and contributed to frameworks for assessing social impacts of innovation policies.
