Kozo Ueda is a Professor at the School of Political Science and Economics, Waseda University, Japan. Prior to academia, he spent 14 years at the Bank of Japan (1999–2013). He holds a DPhil in Economics from the University of Oxford (2006) and earlier degrees in Physics from the University of Tokyo (B.S. 1997, M.S. 1999). His research focuses on monetary policy, the Japanese economy, and macroeconomics, with notable contributions to financial accelerators, inflation dynamics, and banking globalization.
