Konstantin Novoselov

Professor Sir Konstantin Novoselov is a Nobel Laureate in Physics (2010) and currently serves as the Langworthy Professor at the School of Physics and Astronomy, University of Manchester, and as a Professor at the Centre for Advanced 2D Materials, National University of Singapore. He is also the Chairman of the Strategic Advisory Board at Constructor Group.

• Education: Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (BSc) and University of Nijmegen (PhD).

Novoselov is renowned for his pioneering work on graphene, a groundbreaking two-dimensional material. His research spans nanotechnology, materials science, and condensed matter physics, focusing on the fundamental properties and applications of 2D materials. He has published over 250 peer-reviewed papers and plays a pivotal role in coordinating Europe’s €1 billion Graphene Flagship project.

His scientific achievements have been recognized with prestigious awards, including the Nobel Prize (2010), Europhysics Prize (2008), and Leverhulme Medal (2013). Novoselov is also an active participant in global scientific discourse, speaking at the World Economic Forum and advising institutions on strategic research directions.
