Konrad Maj is an Assistant Professor at SWPS University, affiliated with the Faculty of Psychology in Warsaw and the Department of Social Psychology. He serves as Head of the HumanTech Center for Social and Technological Innovation, leading interdisciplinary research at the intersection of psychology and emerging technologies.
Dr. Maj's research focuses on the psychology of new technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, metaverse applications, and Human-Robot Interaction (HRI). His work examines how social influence mechanisms operate in digital environments and how humans anthropomorphize technological agents. He has conducted significant research on children's interactions with robots, exploring how robot behavior characteristics affect human responses.
His recent publications demonstrate a strong trend toward understanding the social and psychological implications of emerging technologies, with particular emphasis on educational applications, workplace integration of AI, and ethical considerations in human-technology relationships. The research shows increasing sophistication in examining gender differences, developmental aspects, and cross-cultural perspectives in technology adoption.

As Head of the HumanTech Center for Social and Technological Innovation, Dr. Maj leads the HumanTech Meetings projects, organizing educational initiatives that explore the relationship between social sciences and new technologies. The center has produced significant research including reports on Polish attitudes toward robots developed in collaboration with IDEAS NCBR.
