Koen Geens

Koen Geens is a Full Professor at the Law Faculty of KU Leuven, where he has held academic roles since 1986. He is also the Director of the Jan Ronse Institute for Company Law and a Founding Partner at Eubelius attorneys. His leadership extends to roles such as Chairman of the Belgian Corporate Governance Commission and member of the Flemish Council for Science and Innovation.

His recent publications (2007-2012) explore themes like corporate governance reforms, financial market regulation, and comparative legal frameworks, reflecting his expertise in both Belgian and international contexts. Key trends include debates on 'One Share One Vote,' comply-or-explain principles, and post-crisis regulatory adjustments.
