Klaas Landsman is Professor of Mathematical Physics in the Department of Mathematics at Radboud University Nijmegen, affiliated with the Institute for Mathematics, Astrophysics, and Particle Physics (IMAPP).
His research explores mathematical principles of natural philosophy including randomness, determinism, emergence, foundations of quantum theory, and the history/philosophy of black hole theory and mathematics. He received the Spinoza Prize in 2022, the highest scientific award in the Netherlands.
