Kitty Suddick

Kitty Suddick is a Senior Lecturer in Physiotherapy at the University of Brighton, affiliated with the School of Education, Sport and Health and the Centre for Arts and Wellbeing. She holds a PhD from the University of Brighton (2018) and an MSc in Neurorehabilitation from Brunel University (2002). Her research focuses on neurological rehabilitation, stroke recovery, and qualitative methodologies like hermeneutic phenomenology.

Education background includes a physiotherapy qualification from the University of Brighton (1995), followed by advanced studies in neurorehabilitation and hermeneutic phenomenology. Current research explores the NEUROfit programme, Motor Neurone Disease wellbeing, and patient-provider experiences across care pathways.

Research interests emphasize caring practices in healthcare, long-term neurological conditions, and creative methods. Recent work examines stroke unit transitions, botulinum toxin impact, and interprofessional care.
