Kit Lam

Dr. Kit Lam is Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine at UC Davis, renowned for pioneering combinatorial chemistry and one-bead-one-compound (OBOC) drug discovery technology. His lab develops cancer-targeted nanotherapeutics, molecular imaging agents, and peptide-based diagnostics.

Research spans combinatorial library synthesis, cancer nanomedicine, molecular immunology, and antibiotic development. Recent innovations include PLZ4-targeted micelles for bladder cancer, apolipoprotein nanodiscs, and vision transformer-based drug screening. Collaborations extend to veterinary oncology for clinical translations.

Awards include Immunomedics Science Award and American Chemical Society Fellowship. His 1991 OBOC patent revolutionized high-throughput drug screening.
