Kirsty McCall is a Lecturer at the International Education and Lifelong Learning Institute, specializing in English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and related pedagogical frameworks. She has taught at university level in the UK since 2009, with prior experience in Japan, Poland, New Zealand, London, and Devon.
Her research interests include Discourse and Genre Analysis, Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL), and the design of assessment tasks and curricula in higher education. She has contributed to the development of the Conceptual Toolkit for Language Teaching Practitioners (CTLTP) and is actively involved in educational leadership programs.
Notable awards include her Senior Fellowship with Advance HE (2025) and participation in the Advance HE Aurora Leadership Programme (2022). Her work aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goal for Quality Education.
