Kirk Ambrose is an Affiliate Professor in the Department of Art and Art History at the University of Colorado. He is a distinguished scholar specializing in medieval and Romanesque sculpture, with a focus on monastic viewing practices and the interplay of the marvellous and monstrous in twelfth-century European art. His academic contributions include authoring and editing notable publications, and he currently serves as editor-in-chief of The Art Bulletin.
