Kirin Gupta

Kirin Gupta is a Graduate Tutor and Ph.D. candidate in History at Harvard University. Her dissertation focuses on 'Gender & Terrorism in the Former British Colonies, 1800-Present,' employing transnational historical methods, archival research (including textual analysis), and interviews/oral history. Her research interests include political violence, gender studies, postcolonial theory, African and South Asian studies, and the history of law and feminist activism.

She speaks Spanish and Hausa and reads Spanish, French, and Hausa. Her prior work spans ethnography, indigenous studies, and Latinx studies. She is committed to interdisciplinary approaches and holds preferred pronouns: she/her/hers.
