Kirill V Horoshenkov

Kirill Horoshenkov FREng is Professor of Acoustics at University of Sheffield, specializing in sensor technologies for water infrastructure and novel acoustic materials. As EPSRC Pipebots Programme Grant lead, he develops robotic systems for buried pipe inspection using advanced acoustic methods.

Research includes modeling sound propagation in porous media, airborne Doppler river monitoring, and MEMS-based pipe condition assessment. Patents underpin spin-out companies Acoutechs and Acoustic Sensing Technology.
