Kimberly Kras is an Associate Professor in the School of Public Affairs at San Diego State University (SDSU), part of the College of Professional Studies and Fine Arts. She teaches in Criminal Justice and Public Administration programs. Her research focuses on reentry experiences of formerly incarcerated individuals, desistance processes, and evidence-based practices in community corrections. Dr. Kras collaborates with organizations to study employment support and reintegration challenges faced by system-impacted populations, including those convicted of sexual offenses.
Education: Ph.D. in Criminology and Criminal Justice from University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL), Master's in Criminal Justice from University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC), and B.A. in Psychology from UMKC.

Her work bridges academic scholarship with practice through co-editing Perspectives (APPA journal) and serving as Associate Editor of Victims & Offenders.
