Kimberly Howell, Ph.D., serves as a Visiting Faculty Lecturer in the Department of Environmental, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Lowell’s Kennedy College of Sciences. She holds a Ph.D. in Geological Oceanography and dual bachelor’s/master’s degrees in Geology from Old Dominion University. Prior to her academic roles, she worked as a petroleum geologist for BP in Alaska and in Houston, Texas. Currently, she contributes to IHRDC, developing online courses in geology and related fields for the oil and gas industry.
