Kimberly Guthrie

Kimberly Guthrie is the Chair and an Associate Professor at Virginia Commonwealth University's VCUarts Fashion Design + Merchandising department. Her work focuses on sustainable fashion practices and eco-fashion design education, emphasizing fashion's role in exploring cultural and societal dimensions.

Research & Teaching: She integrates sustainability into courses like draping, patternmaking, technical design, and trend forecasting. Her teaching philosophy bridges practical skills with critical discussions on industry transformation.
