Dr. Kimberly Cleveland is an Associate Professor in Kent State University's College of Nursing, teaching courses in health policy, law, budget management, and nursing foundations. She holds a law degree and maintains licensure to practice in Ohio and before the U.S. Supreme Court. Her research focuses on health policy, affordable educational resources, nursing leadership, and social determinants of health.
Dr. Cleveland holds significant leadership positions including Chair Emeritus of the Nurses on Boards Coalition, Recording Secretary of The American Association of Nurse Attorneys, and committee roles with the National League of Nursing. Her extensive publications examine nursing governance, policy implementation, and pandemic-related mental health challenges.
She has received numerous honors including recognition from Leadership Akron and specialty section leadership awards. Her clinical background includes experience as an Adult Nurse Practitioner with expertise in ECMO, VAD, and Cardiac Transplant ICU/OR support.
