Kim Ross

Dr. Kim Ross is a Senior Lecturer and Deputy Head of Social and Political Science at the University of Chester. She specializes in public social science, harm reduction, and creative qualitative methodologies, with a focus on vulnerable populations. As PGR Tutor and Deputy Chair of the Research Ethics Committee, she oversees doctoral training and ethical governance.

Her research interests include participatory approaches to social injustice, evidenced through projects like co-producing frameworks with West Cheshire Foodbank and the Poverty Truth Commission. She leads modules on criminology and risk reduction, and supervises PhD students examining protest in young adult fiction and working-class political representation.
