Dr. Kim Heyes is a Senior Lecturer in Health and Social Justice at Manchester Metropolitan University's School of Nursing and Public Health. Her research focuses on societal inequalities, co-production methodologies, and policy impact, particularly in mental health, domestic violence prevention, and child welfare. She leads evaluations addressing health inequities in North Manchester communities.
Research interests center on intersectional approaches to public and mental health inequalities, informed by lived experiences of poverty, trauma, ADHD, and systemic barriers. Her work connects disparate research strands through participatory methods to address complex social issues.
