Kim Hall

Kim Hall is an Assistant Professor in Children and Young People at Northumbria University's Department of Social Work, Education and Community Wellbeing. She joined the university in January 2016, bringing expertise in participatory creative methods and community-based research. Dr. Hall serves as Year One Cohort Lead for the BA (Hons) Childhood and Early Years Studies program while teaching across all three years.

Recent publications highlight community asset mapping approaches and in-depth studies of kinship care experiences. She coordinates transnational undergraduate education programs with Kaplan Singapore and leads modules on children's play as a learning vehicle.

Professional activities include organizing the North East Kinship Care Researchers' Network and presenting at international conferences like the 11th ESRF Conference. Current projects focus on evaluating holiday experiences for kinship families and mapping mental health services in Newcastle.
