Kim Cobb is the Lawrence and Barbara Margolis Director of the Institute at Brown for Environment and Society and Professor of Environment and Society & Earth, Environmental, and Planetary Sciences at Brown University. She previously served as Director of Georgia Tech’s Global Change Program and ADVANCE Professor for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Her research focuses on tropical Pacific climate, coral reef resilience, coastal climate impacts, and urban heat islands. She holds a B.S. from Yale University (1996) and a Ph.D. in Oceanography from Scripps Institution of Oceanography (2002).
