Kikki Flesche Kleiven

Kikki Flesche Kleiven is a Professor and Head of the Department of Earth Science at the University of Bergen, and Director of the Bjerknes Centre for Climate Research. Her research focuses on paleoceanography and paleoclimatology, particularly North Atlantic Deep Water dynamics, abrupt climate change, and interglacial climate patterns. She has supervised the Norwegian Research School in Climate Dynamics (ResClim) and contributed to climate outreach through public lectures, media interviews, and initiatives like Generation Green.

Key research interests include ocean-climate interactions, Holocene climate variability, and the role of ocean circulation in past and future climate changes.
