Khanin Chaiphet

Khanin Chaiphet is a postdoctoral researcher and part-time lecturer in the Linguistics Department at Chulalongkorn University, supervised by Attapol Rutherford. He holds a Ph.D. in Linguistics from Stony Brook University, where he was co-advised by Francisco Ordóñez, Daniel Finer, and Jiwon Yun. His doctoral dissertation investigated displaced modifier structures in Thai syntax.

Research Focus

His work bridges two domains:

• NLP Infrastructure: Developing robust Thai language processing tools at Chulalongkorn's NLP Lab.
• Theoretical/Experimental Syntax: Analyzing Thai phrase/sentence structures using experimental methods, particularly examining interpretative patterns of non-adjacent noun-modifier relationships.

He maintains 2 publications and 8 conference presentations spanning syntactic theory and NLP applications.
