Khamis Essa

Professor Khamis Essa is the Professor of Digital Manufacturing and Director of the Advanced Manufacturing Group at the School of Engineering, University of Birmingham. His research focuses on advanced manufacturing technologies for aerospace, defense, automotive, and biomedical industries, emphasizing material-process interactions and holistic modeling. He has secured over £14M in research income, collaborating with global firms like Rolls-Royce, BAE Systems, and the European Space Agency, while also supporting SMEs through ERDF programs like CASIM2 and SmartFub.
