Khaled Elsaid

Khaled A. Elsaid is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at Chapman University School of Pharmacy. He joined Chapman in 2016 as a tenure-track faculty member and was awarded tenure in 2019.

• Education: BSc (Pharmaceutical Sciences, Cairo University), MS (Biomedical Sciences), Ph.D. (Pharmacology and Toxicology), MBA (University of Rhode Island), Pharm.D. (Massachusetts College of Pharmacy)
• Research Focus: Translational pharmacology and practice-based research targeting musculoskeletal diseases, particularly post-traumatic osteoarthritis (PTOA) and gout. His work explores mechanisms of synovitis, disease-modifying agents, and biomarker discovery.
• Publications: Over 40 high-impact articles on PRG4/Lubricin’s anti-inflammatory roles, CD44 receptor interactions, TGF-β signaling, and pharmacist-led interventions in diabetes and oncology.
• Students: Mentors Master’s and Ph.D. students in pharmacology and translational research at Chapman University.
