Dr. Keyao Pan is an Assistant Professor of Digital History at Florida International University's Steven J. Green School of International and Public Affairs. He holds a Ph.D. in History from the University of Chicago (2021). His research focuses on human rights discourse, historical justice activism, and digital humanities, particularly analyzing Japan's wartime and colonial legacies. He specializes in the evolution of the term 'jinken' (human rights) in modern Japan and its transnational applications. Dr. Pan is developing a graph database of 1990s reparations movements using Neo4j, accessible via GitHub (azurebamboo).
