Kevin Wing

Kevin Wing is a Professor of Journalism at the School of Journalism and Mass Communications, San Jose State University, part of the College of Humanities and the Arts. A San Jose State alumnus with a BA in Journalism, he returned to teach in 2024 in Dwight Bentel Hall. He teaches core courses including JOUR 61, JOUR 130, JOUR 140A, and JOUR 150, focusing on television, print, and multimedia journalism.

Kevin holds an Associate in Arts from Ohlone College and has served as faculty advisor to its campus newspaper The Monitor (2017–2020). He also served as Director of Media Relations and News at Saint Mary’s College of California (2023–2024).

His research and teaching interests span television journalism, investigative reporting, multimedia storytelling, broadcast news, and media ethics. With nearly four decades in broadcast journalism, his expertise is deeply rooted in real-world news production and ethical reporting standards.
