Kevin W. Larsen

Dr. Kevin W. Larsen serves as Professor of New Testament and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Mid-America Christian University (MACU). He previously held roles as Director of Institutional Research and Effectiveness and has contributed to theological education through teaching, research, and fieldwork.

• Education: B.A. in Pastoral Ministry (Nebraska Christian College), M.A. and M.Div. in Biblical Studies (Cincinnati Christian University), Ph.D. in Biblical Studies (The Catholic University of America).

His research focuses on New Testament exegesis, particularly Markan theology, and integrates archaeological fieldwork in Israel (Ashkelon, Khirbet el-Maqatir, Shiloh). He has published in journals like Stone-Campbell Journal and Currents in Biblical Research, emphasizing biblical interpretation and its practical applications.

Dr. Larsen is actively involved in academic societies including the Evangelical Theological Society, Catholic Biblical Association, and Near East Archaeological Society. He supervises archaeological square excavations and contributes to local church education through preaching and workshops.

Personal highlights include competitive swimming in youth, musical pursuits in band, and global mission trips across Asia, Europe, Africa, and South America.
