Kevin Stein

Dr. Kevin Stein is an associate professor of communication at Southern Utah University (SUU), affiliated with the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. He specializes in rhetoric of attack (kategoria), persuasive defense (apologia), and his own theory of antapologia (responses to defense). He founded Public Apology Central, a comprehensive resource for analyzing public apologies in political, corporate, and social contexts.

Stein holds a bachelor's from SUU, a master's from Idaho State University, and a Ph.D. from the University of Missouri, all in communication. He has taught at SUU since 2005, emphasizing courses like political communication, media analysis, and qualitative research. He has served as Faculty Senate President, chaired academic affairs committees, and led student exit polling during elections.
