Dr. Kevin Railey serves as the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at St. John Fisher College, overseeing five academic schools (School of Arts and Sciences, School of Business, Wegmans School of Nursing, Wegmans School of Pharmacy, Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education), Lavery Library, and key academic programs including the Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP), Sponsored Programs, and the Institute for Civic and Community Engagement. He holds a Ph.D. and M.A. from Stony Brook University and a B.A. from SUNY Albany.

Railey has led the adoption of Fisher’s strategic plan "Renewing Our Purpose. Broadening Our Impact," and re-engaged the community in extending it to 2025. He has been recognized by the Rochester Business Journal as a Power 30 leader in Higher Education (2021) and is a scholar in urban education and American literature.
Key initiatives under his leadership include launching Fisher Forward, a $75 million fundraising campaign, and supporting the development of institutes like the Golisano Institute for Developmental Disability Nursing and the DePeters Family Center for Innovation and Teaching Excellence. His past roles include associate provost and dean of the graduate school at SUNY Buffalo State, where he also chaired the English department and contributed to equity-focused programs.
