Kevin Osten-Garner, Psy.D. serves as Executive Director & Chief Psychologist of Adler Community Health Services and is Core Faculty in the Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology program at Adler University. With over 17 years of clinical experience, he specializes in substance use prevention, treatment, and recovery services, particularly for impaired professionals and individuals with severe mental health conditions.
His educational background includes a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology (2004), a B.A. in Ethnic Studies and Native American Studies from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee (1995), and a Certificate in Primary Care Behavioral Health from the University of Massachusetts Medical School (2018).
Dr. Osten-Garner's research focuses on integrating evidence-based practices with community approaches, particularly examining the intersection of 12-step programs and psychotherapy, substance abuse treatment innovations, and LGBTQ mental health inclusion. His work emphasizes human dignity, community engagement, and healthcare reform within behavioral health systems.

He previously served 11 years on the Chicago Schweitzer Fellowship program advisory council.
