Kevin Lyness, PhD is a Professor in the Department of Applied Psychology at Antioch University New England. He has served as Program Director for both the MA and PhD programs in Marriage & Family Therapy (MFT) and directed the Antioch University Couple and Family Therapy Institute. His work emphasizes social justice, addiction, and systemic approaches to therapy.

Dr. Lyness’s research focuses on social justice in family therapy, addiction dynamics, and family coping mechanisms. He has conducted qualitative studies on social justice definitions within MFT and collaborated on tools like the Mental Illness Distress Scale (MIDS).
