Kevin Lyman

Kevin Lyman is an Associate Professor at the Thornton School of Music, University of Southern California, within the Music Industry program. He is renowned for founding the Vans Warped Tour (24-year run, 2018 final edition) and producing major festivals like Rockstar Mayhem and It’s Not Dead.

His career spans 37 years in the music industry, transitioning from backyard concerts to co-owning SideOneDummy Records and managing acts such as Less Than Jake and H20. Lyman’s philosophy integrates music, education, and philanthropy in all events.

Philanthropy highlights: Founded the Unite the United Foundation (raised $1M+), attempted a 2014 Guinness World Record for Largest Food Drive, and launched the 2018 opioid education initiative FEND (Full, Energy, No, Drugs). His awards include:
