Kevin Lyles is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). His research focuses on American Government, Constitutional Law, Judicial Process, African-American Legal History, and Gender and Law. He holds a PhD from Washington University in St. Louis (1991).
His work includes examining the jurisprudence of Thurgood Marshall, analyzing civil liberties through constitutional case studies, and exploring the intersection of race and constitutional silence.
