About
Kevin Li is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Regensburg, funded by the SFB 1085 under the mentorship of Prof. Clara Löh. He earned his PhD in 2022 from the University of Southampton, supervised by Profs Nansen Petrosyan and Ian J. Leary. His research spans algebraic topology and geometric group theory, focusing on group cohomology, L2-Betti numbers, bounded cohomology, and Farber’s topological complexity.
His recent publications explore topics such as homology growth, open covers with π1-constraints, and cohomological properties of group stabilizers. He co-organizes an online research seminar on bounded cohomology and simplicial volume and has taught courses on group cohomology at Regensburg. His work is supported by SFB 1085, a collaborative research center on "Higher Invariants".
