Kevin Jeffay is the Gillian T. Cell Distinguished Professor and Chair of the Department of Computer Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He earned his Ph.D. in 1989 from the University of Washington.
His research and teaching focus on computer networks, real-time systems, operating systems, and multimedia systems, with an emphasis on improving internet communication performance. Current projects include protocols for airborne mesh networks and virtualized application resource management.
