Kevin Dreyer is a Professor of Theatre Specialties (Design and Production) at the University of Notre Dame since 1989. His roles include teaching, designing lighting and scenery for campus theatre productions, and overseeing producing/directing responsibilities. He is an active freelance lighting designer with global acclaim, noted for work with major companies like the Joffrey Ballet and Ballet West, as well as contributions to Robert Altman’s film *The Company*.
Research focuses on lighting design intersections with dance, stage management, and new play development. His 2020 book *Dance and Light* (Routledge) pioneered discourse on choreography-lighting partnerships. Recent designs include *The Nutcracker* (Ballet West, 2018) and *The Green Table* (American Ballet Theatre, 2005).
